Environmental action in practice
Decarbonization and clean energy
We are reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions through energy-efficient infrastructure, gas abatement and 100% renewable electricity at all major sites. Between 2021 and 2023, we cut global Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions by 61%, while revenue grew by 36%. A new 355 kWp solar system installed in 2024 now generates 217 MWh annually. We optimize energy use in MEMS production through efficient cooling, LED conversion and lake-based district energy. Despite growing facilities, our emission intensity remained stable, proving the strength of our energy strategy.

Our water use per production unit was reduced by 4% in 2024. Furthermore, we piloted a new recycling system for deionized water and upgraded our wastewater treatment system in Stäfa, which now ensures compliance with copper limits, even under high production loads.

This includes strict policies on child labor and conflict minerals, regular supplier audits and alignment with the RBA Code of Conduct. Through close collaboration, transparency, stability and sustainability are promoted across the entire value chain.
